About him
A genuine blonde and still have a lot of hair, long time widowed, still have an eye for an attractive woman. I am kind, gentle, articulate, well-mannered, down to earth, unconventional, compassionate, confident, very practical and probably quite sexy. I feel ok about myself but difficulty taking life too seriously. I look very much younger than my age and I hope my photos would verify that. However, If I am seeking anything, I’d be looking for honesty. I don’t like games of secrets as these can be deal breakers just as much as trying to seek the truth.
Long time retired from the city. My world is a different place. My two grown up sons are my best friends and I shall always cherish their company.
Do those feelings of closeness and belonging happen in later years? I don’t know anymore, but I hope so.
I have lots of diverse interests and hobbies from music to psychology. I have an interest in social history, archaeology and psychology (took a course in criminal psychology to understand differences between learned and inherited behaviours). I still enjoy performing regularly at open mic nights playing guitar and singing - Eric Clapton to Leonard Cohen. I keep a classic 'British' sports car and a late German convertible which are fun when I get around to using them.
I paint in oils & acrylics and make things like guitars and model brass steam engines, which is what ‘Artisanic’ is all about. I like to keep myself in good condition and I still do what a man has to do to maintain his home.
I love the atmosphere of Covent Garden, South Bank, the National Portrait, the Tates, the smell of thyme on freshly baked trout. I like Cornwall where I once nearly moved, but settled on the tranquility of living near the sea in East Sussex. I love the antiquity of Rye, which is like a breath of fresh air after commuting for years from Sevenoaks.
I have a gloriously daft sense of humour and an equally good sense of the ridiculous. I enjoy the papers and a fresh coffee.

There are deal breakers as we tend to find out in life. A good relationship is not a rehearsal or a one sided gift horse but unfortunately we tend to rush into things with a certain blindness. I’d be looking for the more down to earth, natural qualities in a lady rather than those described by tick boxes. Although very open minded, I’d be wary of anyone who says they are turned on by ‘wealth’ or ‘power’ as both hint of a certain stereotype which I’d probably want to avoid like the plague.
