I'm looking for my "last first date", a genuine, warm, open and intelligent partner wanting to share culture, conversation, cuddles and all the other good things in life.
I'm a warm, creative, healthy and friendly Californian expat, living in north London for many years, passionate about life, jazz, classical, acoustic and other music, movies, art, words, books, food, travel, my elderly bicycle, my young grandchildren, my garden and the great outdoors. Yes, my photos are recent (and I'm lucky to often be told I look much younger than my birthdate suggests).
As a person I'm honest, loyal and care deeply both about individuals and the world. I keep up to date with current events and am not afraid to have and say my own opinion about them.

I'm looking for my "last first date", a genuine, open, loving and intelligent partner to share culture, conversation, cuddles and all the other good things in life. Someone who understands the importance of empathy. A best friend to share life's ups and downs; to laugh, cry, hold hands, have great adventures or just do daily nothings with.
My favourite things, more enjoyable to share, include jazz or classical gigs, movies, visiting museums and galleries, walking, leisure cycling, eating out or cooking in together, and travel (Japan, Costa Rica, a US road trip; can't-wait-to-go-backs include Portugal, Denmark, France and always, always Italy). But I'm completely open to trying your favourite things and discovering new favourites together.
I believe in intimacy that grows from a trusting, caring relationship and at our age that's not necessarily an easy or quick thing. Like perhaps all humans who've lived an interesting life, I have my share of flaws and weaknesses, but I'm not looking for perfection in you either. I'd prefer to meet someone my age, or a little older/younger, healthy and active, but a bit of a paunch, snoring and a few false teeth are all perfectly acceptable. A sense of humour is a must so you can put life's ups and downs in perspective and so we can enjoy making each other laugh till it hurts.
